Affiliate Marketing is a great way to start making money online for anyone that would like some extra spending money each month all the way to the person that would like to quit their job and do it full time. The one key thing that each of these type people must possess is the ability to remain focused while they work or they will never be successful at achieving their goals.

First off you absolutely must have a plan mapped out on paper and make sure you stick to it. I find the best way to do this is to use some kind of calendar such as Google Calendar. Believe me if you don't have this plan written down somewhere you will never be able to stick to it. Depending on what your goals are your plan will look completely different from the next person. There is no exact plan to follow in affiliate marketing you just need to follow the one that works best for your situation.

Although all plans will be different I do recommend the first two things that you do every morning is to first check your email and second is to see how much money you made while you were sleeping. You need to check your email first thing because if there are any questions or complaints from your customers they need to be taken care of immediately before you do anything else. Next on the list is to check how much money you made. I believe this step is critical to keeping you motivated. Let's face it, it's just plain exciting every time you go to your Clickbank or Paypal accounts and see that you have made another sale.

I do believe that one of the biggest pitfalls that everyone runs into in affiliate marketing is spending too much time reading their email. If you noticed in the above paragraph I said to check your email, not read your email. These are entirely two different things.

Get In Get Out, that is my motto. You know what emails are important and which ones are junk. Skim through them quickly and delete all the ones that are not absolutely needed at this time and I'm talking about doing this without opening them. If you start reading all your emails you will lose your focus and end up sifting through a maze of salesletters, OTO's, videos and other things that will keep you from sticking to your plan.

Remember, after coming up with a plan in writing you must stick to it. If you have allotted two hours that day to web design then that's what you will do. Whether you have completed that task or not you must stop at the end of two hours and move on to the next task. You can complete that web design the next time you have it scheduled. If you do this every day I assure you that you will methodically get through your projects a lot faster than if you keep jumping from one thing to another and before you know it you have twenty unfinished projects going at the same time.

Just remain focused and keep plugging along completing one project at a time and before you know it those twenty unfinished projects are down to five. Of course you will never get that number down to zero because there will always be new tasks to add to your list as time goes on.

Affiliate Marketing can be a very profitable business if done the right way. Start making money promoting one product before you move on to the next and before you know it you will be a Super Affiliate.
