Writing and submitting your articles to article publishing sites is a great way to get your site, services or products noticed around the world, but if you do not submit your articles correctly, your article may not appear on each site as desired. Plus, you will have to waste a lot of your time correcting and resubmitting articles to each site. Better to get it right the first time!
Avoid Article Rewriters Or Article Spinners
Article rewriting software takes a perfectly good articles and turns it into an obviously bad article, and most article directory sites reject them without question. Not only does the software destroy the article, but it says to the site owner you are submitting it to that you are just too lazy to write a new article. It will benefit you in the long run to build your reputation up with quality articles rather than start your writing career with articles that are poorly done by an article spinner.
Spell Check The Article
Articles that have misspellings will probably not be approved by the site owner. Most article site administrators check each article, but simply do not have the time to correct misspelled words. So, you will either have your article declined or they may request you fix the problems, but either way, you have to use up your valuable time correcting every article on every site.
Save Your Article In a txt (text) Format
Most word processors tend to want to save your articles using their specific format of characters, such as quote marks or apostrophes. This is fine for emails and letters, but these word processor formats do not translate on internet web pages and databases, so they may cause problems when someone tries to view or use your article on the internet. The best way to avoid this problem is to save all your articles in a .txt format rather than a .doc or other extension. Also, be sure to turn off word wrap when you copy & pastes your article into the sites submission page as this can also cause some formatting issues on the article publishing site, possibly causing your article to be declined.
Do Not Use Affiliate Links In Your Article
An articles purpose is to be helpful and provide useful information to its reader. When you submit an article that includes your affiliate links, the reader may feel like the article is simply a trap to get them click on a link that may or may not be related to the article theme. Instead, keeps things open and above board by including a link to your site for more information, and keep your affiliate links there instead.
Read The Article Sites Submission Policies
Each article publishing site may have submission policies that could prevent your article from being included in their article directory. An example of some sites policies would be to not allow html anywhere but in the author resource box. This would mean html that includes hyper links, lists that are formatted with html ordered or unordered list tags, bold or strong tags or any other html that is used to format a normal web page.
By reading and understanding each sites article submission policies, you will save yourself time, and improve your chances of the article being approved.
Give The Submission Some Time
Article site owners may have thousands of articles to go through before getting to yours! Give the site owner a few weeks before shooting off an email to them, as they may not appreciate emails from authors that could be viewed as pressuring them to approve your article.
If you follow these simply rules, you should have an easy and enjoyable time submitting articles. Best of luck to you!
