Alaskan Seafood Recipes

For this recipe you are going to need to get your hands on some smoked salmon. If you don't know how to do that but would like to learn, look up "How to smoke a salmon", and I walk you step by step the process to an outstanding smoked salmon. If you need to buy one just make sure that it is a wild caught Alaskan salmon. The health benefits if Alaskan wild caught salmon far outweigh anything you will find in the store that has been farmed.

Ingredients:

-1 pound of smoked salmon
-6 ounces of cream cheese
-lemon juice, to taste
-worcestershire sauce, to taste
-1/4 cup of finely chopped onion
-1 package of walnuts, crushed into small pieces

Method:

In a mixing bowl, break the cream cheese into small pieces. Break the Salmon down into small pieces as well.

Incorporate these two together until they are well mixed. Add the onion and continue to mix

This next step is to the taste of the reader as people like things to taste differently. Add, a small amount at a time, the lemon juice and the worcestershire. It will not take a whole lot to make the flavors intensify so add carefully.

Once you have the taste right where you want it put the whole bowl into the freezer for twenty minutes. This will make your mixture harden up just enough so it is easier to work with in the next step.

After twenty minutes take your mix out of the freezer and roll it into a ball. Take the ball and roll it around in your crushed up walnut until it is nicely coated.

Place your Salmon ball in the center of a nice serving dish surrounded by your favorite crackers and enjoy.

This is a nice recipe that is easy to prepare that will definitely impress your family and friends. I serve this year round as I believe you can never get enough salmon.
