Hyacinthus

By: Satish Verma

HYACINTHUS

Tell me, what is the hope now?
Destiny is not inside the new man.
Synthetic lies have spread
like water hyacinth,
on the lake.
Somebody was drowned, I hear.
Absolute truth?

This tragedy:
Will it reverse the course of time?
I feel very depressed.
Stay with me.

What do we know about the death?
Is there any reincarnation of truth?
Must we wait and find out
the transmigrated soul in some poor neighbourhood.

Ozone hole is widening
I have laboured breathing.
Strange,
I want to go for a long swim in the lake.
