Untold Story

By: Satish Verma

One more year to go,
one more candle to light,
he was afraid of tryst with birthday.
Will they or will not,
unleash torrential rains, to submerge
the collective guilt? He was waiting.
Time to unlearn, and undo the ink. time to go completely insane,
world was becoming too hot to live.
He was in need for a strong anodyne
to go into a long, long, slumbur
pain was ungoing, unremitting!
Spring was unethically short
seeds are unripened in the pods
birds will go hungry this blighting cold.
Why did you call me with a fuzz in your mouth.
A butterfly was ready to land at your lips.
Time to tell me untold story.
