Extreme Teeth Whitening Made Easy

By: Matt Wittchow

Technology comes with its price but it definitely has its advantages. Once was a hardened individual who smoked nothing less than 2 packets of cigarette per day. As usual, his discolored teeth likened to those of our gorilla friends. This individual then - for God knows what reason- decides to drop his habit. Stopped smoking but only one more obstacle stood in his way. Asides from actually dropping the smoke's his teeth told everyone he had conversation with he was still a smoker. It's more of show me your teeth and I'll tell you what you are. Frustrated by the dark brown coloration of his teeth, the guy then decides to see his dentist. Within his first few seconds of conversation with his dentist, he gets asked the same "Are you a smoker?" question he's been avoiding all day. Luckily for him, this time he's asked by a dentist who's only curious as to what caused his dark teeth. Long story short, our heart changed individual through his dentist, got his teeth whitened, and was never asked the question again.
Forgive if the story above wasn't what you expected of this kind of article, but I find it important to include such stories to draw out a key point.

Long-time smokers are often people with the most discolored teeth and if its possible get that brown turn into white again, so can you own teeth. With this article, I'm focusing on people with crazily discolored teeth that it makes that ashamed to open them for a smile or say to bite that burger in public. Extreme discolored teeth calls for drastic teeth whitening measures so you should expect to see nothing but the toughest and most effective teeth whitening procedures mentioned here. Products like whitening tooth pastes and home whitening kits are not my dream cures for badly discolored teeth so they are not to be mentioned again in this article. Essentially, the color of your teeth in the mirror should always tell you if your teeth are extremely discolored or not.
Whitening teeth extremely discolored is never going to be an easy task. Asides using harsher chemicals, it may also require a longer time to whiten depending on the whitening method used. To start of, its always important to reach out to your dentist and have him decide on what method is best for you. This article only serves to enlighten on the many methods your dentist may decide to take. It's not a guide to make you carry out these procedures by yourself.
Laser Bleaching
Laser bleaching entails the use of a very strong solution containing bleaching agents while using laser to activate the bleaching agents. Bleaching agents used under this procedure are highly concentrated so this procedure must always be cared out by a dentist or at least under his supervision. Laser bleaching is an effective procedure in whitening badly discolored teeth but it's sure to require you do it more than once to obtain satisfactory results especially depending on the coloration of your teeth. A pro is it costs around $1,000 a con is it may require you to under post treatment for teeth sensitivity which may be a side-effect of the agents used.
Other in-office bleaching
Some other common and effective teeth whitening procedures include the FastWhite system and custom made trays. These procedures can be effective but the decision on which to use should be taken at the advice of your dentist in conjunction with price.
