Eczema Eyes - Foods That Heal Eczema

As a child, whenever I had an itchy fit, one of the first places I would scratch vigorously was my eyes. I would usually focus on my face for the first few minutes and then move further down the body.

But the eyes got the first episodes of scratching. This often resulted in red, weepy skin around my delicate eyes.

It was not until I was an adult that I discovered that certain foods had a medicinal effect on the body. They were harmless, had no side-effects and worked wonders for my eczema.

Certain foods would calm my irritating skin, while others cleansed, detoxified and strengthened my skin, blood and immune system.

I loved to experiment with food and soon found which foods had an immediate effect on my itchy eczema and which foods had long-term effects on my rash.

Here is a short list of certain foods and the medicinal or health properties they have on your health.

Experiment with them, keep a diary, and see how you feel.

#1 - APRICOT: This fruit acts as a laxative, antioxidant and natural sweetener. They are great for improving your circulation.

#2 - BLACKBERRIES: Very good tonic and blood cleanser, Blackberries relieve diarrhoea and act as an antioxidant.

#3 - CRANBERRIES: Excellent for respiratory system. Cranberries kill bacteria and viruses in the kidney, bladder and urinary tract.

#4 - GRAPEFRUIT: Very good for arthritis and excellent for cardiovascular system. Grapefruits are blood cleansing and good for allergies.

#5 - CARROTS: Super detoxifiers, carrots are an excellent whole food. They work well on the liver, digestive tract and kidneys.
