Mobile Phones: From Better to Best

By: Henry Kruz

There can be no denying the fact that mobiles today are the most preferred means for long or short distance communication. In addition to receiving and making calls mobiles also provide services like SMS, e-mail and MMS etc.

It must be noted that though mobile is considered to be the latest phenomenon its origin can be dated as far back as Second World War when armies of different countries used wireless for sending and receiving messages. As far as hand held cellular devices are concerned they are in use since 1983. It must be noted that because of the low establishment cost involved and due to rapid deployment mobile phone networks have spread rapidly throughout the world.

There are several advantages that mobile phones usher. First of all receiving and making calls become very easy. The trauma of voice cracking or wrong numbers no longer remain and talking to someone whether in the same city or in other country become such a joy. Also it gives the users the freedom to talk even when on the move.

Then again apart from its primary feature, that of receiving and making calls, mobiles offer several other benefits as well. For instance one can write a mail or SMS as well as send a photo or video to his friend. Mobiles nowadays also offer the facilities of downloading songs, videos or various ring tones, they also offer such services like calculators, time and date calendar as well as alarm facility.

In short it can be said about mobiles that today they are no longer a means to make and receive calls alone but they offer so many facilities that mobile phones no longer remain a product but have become a complete package that comes in with so many useful and outstanding features.
