There are plenty of PDF Creators around which you can use to convert basically any document to the widely popular PDF Format. Most PDF Creators have two things in common: they more or less use the same technology, and they allow you to convert existing Word and other files to PDF in 3 different methods.
Method 1. Right Click.
More or less unique to the MyPDFCreator software, this method involves simply right clicking the document you want to convert to PDF. Choose the “Convert to PDF File" option and you’re basically finished! Note: the software will usually open-up the selected document in your default program (i.e. a Word document in MS Word). This is a fully automated but required step to send the document to the PDF Creator software, and it will usually only take a fraction of a second before the default program is automatically closed again.
Method 2.
Drag & Drop.
Simply open-up the PDF Creator software and drag your file ontothe PDF Creator window/dialog. A prompt should automatically appear asking you where to save the converted PDF file. This method comes in extremely handy when you’re trying to merge or combine multiple documents into a single file: simply select all the files, drag and drop them onto the PDF Creator window, wait a few seconds, optionally modify the document order, and hit a Merge/Combine button. Note: merging/combining multiple documents is not supported by all PDF software. (Advised software to use for combining files currently is MyPDFCreator.)
Method 3. File->Print.
Most PDF Creators, including MyPDFCreator, are installed as a “Virtual Printer". Sounds weird, but it basically means that it will add a new fake ‘printer’ to your Windows which you can use to create PDF Files. Simply print a document from any program (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Paint, Photoshop, Publisher,.etc..) and select the fake PDF Printer as the desired printer. The PDF software will automatically pop-up, and instead of printing your document, it will automatically convert it to PDF! Sounds confusing? Don’t worry: it may sound like it, but it’s actually really easy and simple to use. The main advantage of this method is that it allows you to convert PDF Files from any software program that is able to print!So which method should You use? Simply pick the one you like the most, as all three systems are equally powerful and will result in the exact same converted PDF file.
