Sony Ericsson W880i: Superb Quality Music

By: Samuel Herrick

Sony Ericsson in its Walkman series portfolio has again added a new gem, the W880i - a classic candy bar designed handset with excellent music features. Many other brands also offer music phones, but all have a common negative point - the incorporation of a bundle of new features. Contrary to that, Sony Ericsson has focused more on music features. The company has incorporated all necessary stuffs in the slim profile. Keep playing on the move.

In terms of design, the Sony Ericsson W880i is very thin at 9.4mm thickness unlike the company's other phones. With silver metal finish, the front face of the phone looks very attractive. The back side of it is black in colour. As far as keypad design is concerned, its not comfortable. With only less than half centimeter lines, you can not press the button easily. The display screen at high resolution (QVGA, 240 x 320) is quite good, but the screen is very small (only 1.8").

Endowed with 3G technology, its quite advanced phone. Also comes with a secondary VGA camera for 3G video calls. Connectivity options such as Bluetooth with A2DP stereo support, USB, EDGE, NetFront Web browser and support of expandable memory card - makes it more powerful. For music, the Sony Ericsson W880i does not let you pass any comment. Built on Walkman player 2.0 platform, the device offers many new features with it. Now you can search a new song through mobile albums, playlists, and artists and through individual songs. The handset also supports TrackID and several music file formats - make your own music library and listen to your favourite music tracks on the move.

Moreover, the Walkman phone also offers a 2.0 mega-pixel camera. It's a very simple camera without any auto flash or LED flash. It comes with a Xenon flash, which is quite okay. Battery life is good and you can enjoy listening to music without breaks. Bring more music and fun with the Sony Ericsson W880i.
