Sony Ericsson S500i: the Yin and Yang

The Sony Ericsson S500i supports the following networks: GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900. It comes in the dimensions of 91 x 47 x 23 mm. Moreover, it has a weight of 98 g. The display of the Sony Ericsson S500i comes in the TFT, 256K colors with 240 x 320 pixels.

Moreover, it has a second external display of OLED, 65K colors. The ringtones comes in the type of Polyphonic (64 channels), AAC. It also supports vibration alert. The memory of the phone can show 1000 entries. The call records appears in the followed manners : 20 dialed, 20 received, 20 missed calls.

The Card slot in the phone is microSD (TransFlash) with 80 MB shared memory. The phone doesn't support HSCSD and 3G platforms. It is worth to mention that the Sony Ericsson S500i supports EDGE. Its connectivity in the Bluetooth is v1.2 with A2DP.

Extending to the other connectivity part of the phone, the phone has Infrared port and USB. Of its other features, it comes with the following features in the messaging section: SMS and MMS.

The browser is i-mode. The colour of the phone is black. For the users of the phone the camera has a 1.3 MP, 1280x1024 pixels, video, flash features. And for the music enthusiasts it has an MP3/AAC player.

Coming to the organizing part of the phone it has T9 feature. It also comes embedded with Organiser and Voice memo. The battery of the phone is Standard battery, Li-Ion 800 mAh. It gives Stand-by up to 190 h; and talk time up to 3 h.

The S500i model of the phone comes in a clamshell shape and is much better than the S400i. For beginners, the efficiency of the phone are much better - there's a 1.3 megapixel camera with video recorder.

Moreover, it also comes embedded with an MP3 player with stereo external speakers, support for stereo. It also has Bluetooth and USB connectivity. From the memory point of view, it is fantastic, with 80 Mbytes of internal memory plus an expandable TransFlash memory card.
