LG Shine: the Sleek and Shiny Beast

By: Alice Erin

Success and accolades received after the LG Chocolate must have inspired LG to focus more on fashion solutions. Their latest offering - LG KE970 or popularly called the LG Shine, is a step ahead of LG Chocolate in both design and functionality. The two handsets are poles apart but one can't help but notice how the earlier model have inspired the design of the LG Shine .

Unlike dark and mysterious LG Chocolate, the LG Shine sparkles in light due to its highly reflective, all stainless steel body. The bright reflection of the phone has been instrumental in naming the devise as 'Shine'. The large LCD display of this slider remains hidden in standby mode and looks like a mirror. Sliding the LG Shine open would reveal the 262k colour deliverable TFT display and the flat metal keypad which has the style of touch buttons but the comfort of conventional keys.

The integrated camera of the LG Shine has 2 megapixel and uses a Schneider-Kreuznach lens. High resolution photography is backed to the hilt by premium features like autofocus, digital zoom and an integrated LED flash. Freezing precious moments in actual and accurate colours to share with friends is breeze with the LG Shine . The device can also be used as a camcorder with its video capabilities.

This triband GSM mobile phone is a strong office tool. Other than just sending and receiving emails with attachments, you can even edit popular files like MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and text formats with its document viewer. 2.5G technology with EDGE and GPRS ensures high rate of data transfer for quick and painless mobile Internet experience. There's 50 Mb of internal memory to save your downloaded files, music and other such things which can be expanded up to 2GB through external memory card.

The LG Shine is definitely a fashion phone, but most importantly, the good look is not its only USP.
