LG Ku970: Up and Ahead

By: Adam Jaylin

LG shine is perhaps the next big thing that has hit the European market with full force. There is a lot of confusion regarding the LG Shine handsets as well. The best that we know is that two LG Shine models are already out in the market and there is the third one that is waiting to be released very soon. The already released handsets are LG KE970 and LG KU970, with similar looks prima facie and a few variations here and there in terms of its features.

We have heard a lot about the GSM version of LG Shine, now let us take a look at the 3G version of the same that is exclusively launched under the Vodafone tag. It is called LG KU970. Like a true LG Shine, this handset is beautifully chiseled, with the mirror effect screen and a full metal body. Its TFT screen shows the panorama of 265,000 colours through it. So, overtly, LG KU970 makes a spectacular handset.

Let us try to analyse this handset more intricately with respect to its features. This is a HSDPA (3.6Mbits support) device that works on Tri-Band GSM network and has the support of features as GPRS and Bluetooth. Needless to add, the gadget promises an amazing connectivity. Whether it is web browsing or e-mailing, everything is possible through this handset, and that too at an unbelievably fast pace.

LG KU970 Shine comes with high resolution 2 Mega Pixels camera that clicks images with an amazing clarity. Further, it has also been equipped with a secondary VGA resolution video call camera, harnessing its 3G capability. The memory of this handset is apt with 512 MB of internal memory, with no external card support unlike its GSM version. Also it lacks the feature of the document viewer that too is present in its GSM look alike.

LG KU970 promises you tons of entertainment with its integrated music player that is able to play music in MP3/AAC++/3GP/MPEG4 formats. Another interesting feature of LG shine is its scroll wheel, which has again made a comeback after nine years (one such scroll key feature was seen in Nokia 7110 way back in 1998). So this inclusion is a welcome change in this handset.

In all, is determined to carry forward the LG flag in the race of mighty mobile phones. Let's hope that it comes out to be victorious in this endeavour.
