LG KF700
The new LG KF700 is a multimedia phone with three styles of interaction: a 3-inch touch screen, an alphanumeric keypad and a 'shortcut dial.' You can switch between the three depending on the application you are using as they are optimized for certain activities. The phone was recently introduced at the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona and the interface was based on customer input to make it more ergonomic.

The Shortcut Dial, on the back of the , scrolls through six user-selected items via a virtual dial on screen. This can be done at any time, from any application, not just when the phone is idle. The Shortcut Dial can also scroll web pages or e-mails, raise/lower volume and do other things for which a wheel is well-suited.

But the phone also offers adaptability, for example during web browsing the dial can be used to zoom in and out of the page, when sending a text message the keypad provides alphanumeric characters while the common symbols are on the touch screen and change with your usage.
With the built in web browser you can hit Google Search, Blogs, Gmail, Maps and Youtube for starters. Since the phone features HDSPA 2100 Mhz as well as GSM (900/1800/1900) you'll be able to zip through the web as well as make video calls and stream media to the 240x480 pixel 256K color screen. Additional connectivity can be found in the Bluetooth v1.2, USB and GPRS capabilities. Unfortunately, there will be no HSCSD, EDGE, Ir or Wi-Fi.
On the entertainment side the LG KF700 features a built in MP3 player, MPEG4 video player and 3.0 Megapixel camera with autofocus, image stabilization and a secondary call for video calling as well as an FM Radio, organizer, voice memo and built-in handsfree. The phone also utilizes Java which means games and more will be available for the unit.
The LG KF700 dimensions make it about standard for touch screen phones of late 102 x 51 x 14.5 mm (4" x 2" x .5") but the weight was not made available. No word on talk or standby time on the battery but it will have a Li-ion rechargeable. The phone will be available in Europe in mid March and will be available in other markets later.
