If you are sat in front of your Mac or Mac Book reading this article, whilst listening to your iPod and downloading music to iTunes you will no doubt be excited about Apple's newest product set to hit the shelves at 7:02 on the 11th July. If you haven't guessed already I am talking about the eagerly awaited Apple 3G iPhone which will be exclusive to O2.? Many avid Apple followers will already have the original iPhone which was released in November 2007, but no doubt many of you will be eagerly waiting to upgrade the original iPhone for the brand spanking new 3G version. If you do want a new 3G iPhone you might have a fight on your hands as O2 is bracing itself for a stock shortage, due to Apple reducing the production order for the 3G iPhone due to their over supply of the 2G version.O2 are frustrated with Apple as they feel that the lower price of the 3G iPhone will make it even more popular than the original iPhone.? It does make you wonder if this could all be a publicity stunt to create even more hype about the eagerly awaited handset.? The 3G iPhone will be available to purchase in 22 countries on the 11th July (the launch date) with the handset being rolled out to a further 47 countries in the following weeks. If you want a 3G iPhone to complete your Apple collection you might have to get up early on the 11th July to get your hands on one, but don't panic if you don't get one straight away as Carphone Warehouse have announced that they have secured a large order and should they sell out they shouldn't have any trouble getting more stock in. |
