Purchasing a mobile phone can be very confusing.? Considering the price of the handset, the price of the monthly line rental, and taking into account your monthly call, text and data usage can leave you feeling bamboozled!? It doesn't help matters when you are enticed into a mobile phone store and are hit with the hard sell putting you under pressure to purchase a deal that you may not actually want!

Phones4U used to use a tactic know as 'Street Fighting' to entice customers into stores.? This is simply when staff target customers walking past the store with leaflets. ?This tactic has given Phones4U a poor reputation.? Phones4U are fighting back by retraining 3000 staff members to overhaul the companies approach to sales and customer service.? 'Street Fighting' has now been banned and any store caught 'Street Fighting' by mystery shoppers will be given an instant 0/100 for customer service.

Phones4U bosses have insisted on sending their sales force on training courses, as well as following up on this training with continuous workshops for staff.? Friday will now be training day with stores only opening at 10am giving staff 1 hours training before the working day starts.? There is talk amongst staff that the changes have been implemented due to the rumour that Ofcom will be investigating Phones4U.

The objective of the changes is to increase the staff's product and service knowledge, giving customers a better informed decision about the contract they are purchasing.? Staff will be trained further in a particular subject to enable them to specialise in a particular product giving customers more information and help with complex products.
