The Nokia 6600 Fold has just been announced by the popular mobile phone manufacturer, this new mobile phone is part of a range of mobiles tagged with the motto 'Beautiful to use' - presumably Nokia are going for the stylish approach. The Nokia 6600 Fold is the flagship of the trio of new mobiles (which also includes the Nokia 6600 Slide and 3600 slide).
The Nokia 6600 Fold has quite good features, but as usual is slightly let down by the lowly 2 megapixel camera resolution (it does at least have an LED flash) - a slightly higher megapixel count would have put this mobile into a much better class and made it more popular.
The two main selling points of this mobile phone are the accelerometer - which lets you tap on the front screen to silence a call or alert, or activate the hidden display. The Nokia 6600 Fold also has a unique open and shut method, it has a "one-click electromagnetic opening mechanism with dampened hinge for smooth motion"! Which does sound a little confusing but I can only assume this means that you can open the flip with the press of a button, and it has a slow closing mechanism (like those fancy kitchen cupboards).
The Nokia 6600 Fold also has 3G (with the ability to make video calls), a series 40 user interface and an 18MB internal memory which can be expanded to 4GB - which should be plenty big enough to hold and play your MP3 collection.
You will be able to get your shiny new Nokia 6600 Fold in Autumn 2008 - in either mysterious black or sophisticated purple.
