Two New Budget Mobile Phones

By: John Gray

Nokia have announced two new mobile phones the 2680 slider mobile phone and the 1680 classic candy bar mobile phone. Both of the mobile phones are fairly basic, but for those of you on a budget they might be good options.

The Nokia 2860 looks similar to the Samsung D500, it is a lots rounder than other Nokia slider mobile phones such as the 6288 and the 6500 which are quite chunky and square. Unfortunatley the spec is no were near as good as the 6288 and the 6500, but the 2860 does boast an MP3 player, VGA camera, Bluetooth, fm radio, email client and EDGE.

The Nokia 2860 should be released in quarter three this year, and will be released in four different colour schemes which are night blue, slate grey, violet and orange.

The second of Nokia's new mobile phones is the Nokia 1680 classic, which seems to be an upgraded version of the Nokia 1650. Nokia seem to be aiming their new mobile phones at people on a budget rather than those who want feature packed super phones! The Nokia 1650 is being dubbed the most affordable camera phone to date.

It features a VGA camera with video recording capabilities; it also sports an MP3 ringtones, email client and EDGE support. Unfortunately it doesn't have Bluetooth, but if you want a cheap camera phone it might be worth sacrificing this feature. The exact prices hasn't been announced yet but it is thought to be priced around ?35 - ?40.

The 1680 classic is going to be released in quarter two this year in black, slate grey, deep purple and wine red colour schemes.
