New to the market is this hard as nails, rock solid phone: the JCB TOUGH PHONE. But what makes it so different?
First of all, it is really really solid, and encased in shock-absorbing rubber. This phone is clearly designed for builders and those who live VERY hard. It's rated to IP53, meaning it's dust, shock, water and impact resistant. Meaning it really IS as hard as nails. You could probably use the JCB TOUGH PHONE to hammer nails, to be honest!
Ok, it's not as advanced as some phones out there, but then, it's not meant to be. It's meant to be tough, nothing else. Despite that, it's nice to see some cool touches have been added. The whole phone comes in JCB's trademark yellow paintjob, showing where its heritage lies. You also get custom JCB startup animation, and a cool ringtone of a JCB digger starting. That should put a grin on anyone's face!
Basically, the JCB TOUGH PHONE isn't made for gadget nuts. You don't get a camera, you don't get Java, you don't get 3G. But... when you weigh it up, does a phone like this really need them?
Well, no, it doesn't. It doesn't NEED to be flashy, it doesn't NEED to be swanky. The JCB TOUGH PHONE just needs to be tough enough to knock through a wall (metaphorically speaking). JCB know that, and they've hit a very specific niche. Builders. Oh, and your general guy on the street who lives a hectic life, and runs the risk of damaging a lighter, less substantial phone. For those users, they simply won't find a better handset than this superb JCB phone.
