Virgin's new advert shows off female models rather than actual mobile phones and uses captions such as "I get paid to pout But I never though I'd get paid to chat". This would imply that you get paid to make or receive calls.
With Virgin suggesting their new deal gives you money back on calls, it sounds like a fabulous offer!
After investigating the details of Virgin's PAYG offers we found that they are not paying customers to chat but are actually offering upgrade discounts, bonus Minutes and refer a friend bonuses.
The bonus minutes offers PAYG customers free minutes, after you have made the first 5 payable minutes worth of calls in a day (offer not applicable with any inclusive bundles) you will receive 5 minutes of free calls. The free minutes do not rollover and must be used on the same day as they were earned. If you regularly make short calls this will work out quite well, as it will mean your first 10 minutes of calls in a day will cost you just 7.5ppm.
The upgrade offers you ?10 off the cost of a new mobile for every ?100 you have spent on bundles or credit, the period of time this offer is valid for is not stated.
You can earn ?10 per friend you refer to Virgin with the refer a friend offer. You can refer up to 8 friends receiving up to ?80 in total just for your friends connecting to the Virgin network.
