The Mobile Phones Fashion Catwalk

For many people, wearing the right designer label means everything to them. They will go to extraordinary lengths to ensure that what they buy makes them look great and is in keeping with current fashion trends.

Now it seems that their mobile phones are too part of this million dollar look, with many designer labels releasing their own branded handsets; getting a slice of the market and further raising their brand profile.

But is this anything new? For years now people have been customising their own phones with different colour fascias, as well as changing their phones themes to fit in with their likes. To top it off, people are decorating their phones with Swarovski crystal and rhinestone fashion charms to make them look all that much better.

Probably the most famous of designer mobiles is that of Dolce & Gabbana. Launched in December 2005 as a limited edition handset, D&G teamed up with Motorola to bring us the Motorola RAZR V3.

The Prada; arguably one of the best looking phones on the market features LG's latest touchscreen technology and competes well with the likes of the iPhone and other mobile phones coming to the market at present. LG has been a front runner in fashion phones for a long time and has shared much success with phones such as the Chocolate and Shine handsets.

Some of the other brands which have recently announced ventures with Samsung and other mobile manufacturers have been Levi's and Ted Baker; which is also likely to help increase market share.
