The world of mobile phones keeps on changing very rapidly. Mobile technology is evolving at a terrific speed and upgradation has become a continuous effort from the mobile manufacturers. Technology that mobile phones used two years back is completely obsolete now, newer and better technology have made its entry making mobiling easier and sophisticated than ever.

Let's start with the connectivity feature called Infrared. Some years back it was a huge hit for the mobile fraternity. Infrared which still come with many a models is only fulfilling the feature list as most of the people now uses Bluetooth wireless technology for data transfer of any kind. Bluetooth has also got its upgraded version called Bluetooth 2.0 and the feature has been incorporated into many models by companies like Nokia, Samsung, LG, Motorola, BenQ Siemens, i-mate, BlackBerry, Sony Ericsson and so on. Another cool connectivity feature for the new generation is becoming very popular these days. Known as 3G HSDPA, this technology helps one to make face-to-face video calls with their near and dear ones. That's why all the 3G enabled mobile phones carry an extra camera with them.

The new generation mobile phones are equipped with high resolution display screens, high resolution megapixel cameras, dedicated music players, enough memory space, memory expansion slots, embedded Java games, downloadable gaming options and many such features. Fast and reliable operating systems have been introduced in several models to make mobile experience sweet and smart. Companies like i-mate, BlackBerry, HTC have gone one step ahead and incorporated faster and efficient processors in their handsets. These handset makers have also brought sufficient ROM and RAM in their devices.

The next generation mobile phones boast of another cool technological invention. Called the Mobile TV feature, this facility helps one to view TV channels while on the move. Now, it can be said that mobile phones are no more a mere communication device, it's more than that!
