The Industrial-strength Dymo Rhinopro 5000

By: Sally Green

The Rhinopro 5000 is the tough, value-packed labelmaker that outdoes even less affordable labeling machines in real-world, jobsite situations. Designed for speed and durability, its exclusive one-touch hot keys give you frequently employed label layouts - like wire wraps and patchpanels - at your fingertips.

Industrial-strength adhesives help Rhinopro labels to stick, and stay stuck - even in rigorous circumstances. Thermal transfer print technology produces labels that are durable, smudge-proof and resistant to chemicals, solvents, heat, UV and more. There's 5 different label materials, all of which are adapted to individual applications. Flexible Nylon is exercised on curvy or dead flat surfaces, like large wires, patch panels and machinery. Permanent polyester is employed on Dead flat surfaces like bins, equipment, machinery, patchpanels and power boxes. Vinyl is uniform with all surfaces, ideally for indoor/outside environments where some color-coding is essential. Heat Dwindle Tubes are used for wires and cables, and Non-adhesive tags are employed for distribution blocks, faceplates or patchpanels that have label slots in them.

The most powerful feature of the Rhinopro 5000 is it's capability to automatically setup labels applying a "hot key". These Hot Keys allow you to specify a layout or format with the press of a button, meaning you get perfectly formatted labels, making your work tidier, more efficient and more professional. Some instances are:

"Vertical Format" basically prints the text vertically down the label rather than horizontally along the label. This is noticeably favorable in environments where ports or plugs run vertically on a patch panel or switchboard, as opposed to across (horizontally).

The "Barcode" Hot Key allows you to print Code 39 or Code 128 barcodes on your labels - requires 3/4" (19mm) labels.

There are numerous other worthwhile features of the Rhinopro 5000 that make it such a desirable utensil. Features such as the Battery Life Indicator blended with "automatic shutoff" method means you won't run short of power at work. Then there's the Impact-Averse Rubber Bumper which shields your Rhino pro 5000 from unanticipated drops or harsh workplace situations. Or, the Symbols library - when words won't do, you can opt from a vast range of normal or electrical symbols (like: ohm, Ground, Phone, Knowledge, Fax) for graphical labeling in all kinds of instances.
