The Rectoral de Cines is located in the municipality of Oza dos RÃ?os, in a valley formed by the Mendo and Mero Rivers. Less than 8 km away from the Rectoral you will find within the peace and tranquillity of the area the ancient and historic community of Betanzos with its famous park, Parque del Pasatiempo. Like all Pazos, there is a fair amount of history surrounding the building and in this case it is the following. The Rectoral de Cines was a medieval convent with a small hermitage, founded in the year 911. Later in the 11th-12th Centuries. a Gothic church in honour of St. Nicholas was built on the site. The Rectory and the Church make up an architectural collection of enormous historic and artistic value which has been restored to offer a warm and friendly atmosphere. The original masonry, wooden beams and roof have been preserved and combined with modern, comfortable furniture.
