The Fathers Song

By: Mary Wismer

I have heard so many Songs,
Listened to a thousand tongues,
But there is one that sounds above them all.
The Father Love's love you sung it over me,
and for eternity its written on my heart.
Heaven's perfect Melody, the creator's
Symphony, you are singing over me
the Father's Song.

I answer the call, hearing your voice,
down on my knees I made a choice,
to humble myself and pray.
No matter the cost, paying the price,
I will give the sacrifice, to humble my self.

Into the river I will wade,
there my sins are washed away;
from the heavens mercy stream,
of the Saviour's Love for me.
I will rise from waters deep
into the saving arms of God.
I will sing Salvation Songs,
Jesus Christ has set me free.

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine
O what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of Salvation, purchase of God,
Born in his spirit, washed in His blood.
Perfect Submission, all is at rest,
I in my Saviour am happy and blessed:
Watching and wanting, looking above,
filled with his goodness, lost in his love.
Perfect delight, vision of rapture burst on my sight; Angels descending bring from above
Echoes of Mercy, Whisper of Love.
