Well, now, they're released a phone, and it follows in the footsteps of its bigger, digger-ish cousins, by being big, yellow and brutishly powerful. honestly, we're not kidding here, the JCB TOUGH PHONE really lives up its name, because it is relentlessly hard-wearing. With a hardened and rubberised body (in bright yellow, since it's a JCB), it is built to take the punishment that hard living will give out to it. Rated up to IP53 it is dust, shock, water and impact resistant, so it's going to take something of truly earth shattering proportions to make the JCB phone worry about getting scratched.
Now, I know it's not gadget-y. I know it's not flashy. I know it doesn't have a camera, or a music player, or Java. but you know what? It doesn't NEED any of that stuff. It only needs to be able to make and receive calls, and send/receive texts in harsh environments.
