Based on company's commitment to provide with the widest range of mobile devices, Orange launches its newly created signature device for business range - the SPV M5000. The mobile is a combination of a new lap-top style 3G phone and connected PDA. It is designed in a way to provide quick, easy and high speed access to the internet, as well as the remote office application and a full voice capability. This pocket- sized, sleek phone runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 and offers a genuine alternative of carrying a laptop, PDA and phone.

SPV M5000 is extremely user-friendly and includes important features such as a customized Orange Homescreen along with an icon for shortcuts, a pivoting screen and a QWERTY keyboard. The phone also has a stylus-driven PDA with a screen display, to automatically switch from landscape and portrait.

The phone is one of the first device to take the advantage of Microsoft Window Mobile 5.0. Through this it provides all the advantages of functionalities and applications of a desktop PC. SPV M5000 provides its user a familiar environment of a PC, with Microsoft applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

The anatomy of SPV M5000 has been engineered together by Orange, Microsoft and HTC, and has been optimised for data-centric business use. It comes with a built-in modern, fax capability and handsfree kit. For catering to the requirements of short business trips, the phones comes with a flash memory of 128 MB. Moreover it has an integrated camera, loud speaker, sensitive microphone and supports video playback. All integrated to make SPV M5000 suitable for video conferencing.
