In most cases prospective employers who are looking to employ person will sometimes look in bankruptcy records. These records can be accessed by anyone. You can find this information by calling the bankruptcy courts’ voice automated service. This help will provide you the selective information that you require.

Bankruptcy Records USA
To attain this information you will need to supply the case number, social Security number or the name of the person that you are looking for info about. You will also be able to access these bankruptcy records from the bankruptcy courts web site.

Currently the data provided by bankruptcy records is free for some cases. The bankruptcy records contains lots of information about the bankruptcy case. 

  • This info mostly is the name of the person who is filing for bankruptcy, their social Security number, date of birth and which bankruptcy filed for.
  • Special information like bank bill information, current and past residential addresses can be found from the bankruptcy records. 
  • These bankruptcy records also hold selective information about the person’s family – the names of the spouse and the children – and employment records. Fundamentally you will be able to approach the integral life history of the person. This data is helpful if you want to know if the person has a history of finance problems.

From the bankruptcy records, you will be able to look at the proceeding details. You can see the names of the lawyers working the cases. Including other assets and property that were not part of the bankruptcy proceedings. 

There are 4 types of Bankruptcy Data Available 

1) Personal Bankruptcy Docket - Cost $10
The Docket includes basic information about the bankruptcy;

  • Such as status, case number, filing & discharges dates, Attorney & Trustee information, Judge and Petitioner information. This includes detailed information, appearance, action and a brief abstract about filing's in the bankruptcy. Prices are quoted for personal bankruptcy files.
  • Business or Corporation
    There is a 5 page limit on Docket orders with 0.50 per page thereafter. Most Dockets for personal bankruptcy are under 5 pages. You may call the Service Center to get a page count prior to ordering. Call our Business Service Center Hotline. 

2) Discharge / Dismissal Records - Cost $15
Discharge Records are the official signed document, that is filed by the Judge after the bankruptcy is complete.

  • The Discharge Records are required as proof to show that the bankruptcy has been completely discharged or dismissed and is closed.
  • If your bankruptcy is discharged within the last 30 calendar days, the discharge records are FREE for the bankruptcee. Prices are quoted for personal bankruptcy files.

3) Schedules D,E,F / Discharge Papers - Cost $30
Includes Bankruptcy Schedules D,E & F, / List of Creditors, and  Discharge Records. Official documents filed by the Trustee or Attorney.

  • The Schedules include a list of all creditors listed in the bankruptcy, along with the account numbers, and the dollar amount of the debts. (The Discharge Records are also included in  this package) If you are in need of a "Lien Release" or "Reaffirmation Agreement", Schedules A-J, or Mortgage papers, filed in the bankruptcy, you will need to order the Complete File.
  • This package is what is needed for credit reporting errors, & proof for debt collectors trying to collect on old debt.
  • If the bankruptcy was filed prior to 2004, you will receive the "list of creditors" instead of the "Schedules". Most chapter 7 personal bankruptcy Schedules and Discharges Records are on average, 5-15 pages. You may call for a page count prior to ordering. 

4) Complete File - Cost $35
The Complete File includes all documents filed by your Attorney, or the Trustee assigned to the bankruptcy case during the bankruptcy. The Complete bankruptcy file can include the following:

  • Voluntary Petition, List of Creditors, Schedules A-J, Mortgage Papers (if any), Amendments to Schedules (if any), Reaffirmation agreements (if any), Lien Avoidance (if any), Discharge or Dismissal and Final Decree (if any)
  • Prices are quoted for personal bankruptcy files filed after 2004.
  • Personal files are limited to 50 pages, if the file is over 50 pages, each page there after is 0.50 per page. To order, call our Business Service Center Hotline
