The Nokia N73 - the Updated N70

The Nokia N73 is an updated version of the Nokia N70 3G smartphone. A lot thinner and compact as compared to other phones under the genre of 'N' series, the Nokia N73 is a simple and attractive device. The handset is loaded with impressive multimedia features, with enhancements in the sector of camera and memory. The device comes with a 3.2 MP camera and more internal memory. Thus, the Nokia N73 strikes a perfect balance between form and functionalities, and effectively carries the reputation of its predecessors, further.

The Nokia N73 is a candy bar handset, with a large display in the front. The screen is one of the best displays in the segment of smartphones, with an amazing 240 x 320 pixel resolution and 262,000 colours. The keypad is regular like the Nokia N70, but we would have preferred a little larger keys. As mentioned earlier, the Nokia N73 has upgraded the camera in a big way. The camera comes with Carl Zeiss optics and CMOS sensor, built-in flash, 20x digital zoom, macro mode, plenty of optional settings and a photo editor. Video recording is at CIF resolution with a frame rate of 15 frames per second. There is also a second inward facing Video VGA camera for making video calls.Besides pictures, the Nokia N73 is also a good music phone. The handset has a music player that supports a wide range of formats including MP3, WMA and AAC, and also an FM radio with Visual Radio functionality.

The internal memory of the Nokia N73 3 phone is expanded to 42 Mbytes and there's support for a swappable miniSD card. This means you can now store more sound tracks, pictures and videos. Making full utility of the handset's memory, the Nokia N73 can record videos up to 90 minutes in length.Connectivity wise, the Nokia N73 offers good options as well. There is Bluetooth, USB and infrared. The handset comes under the genre of Series 60 phones, with good battery life for a 3G phone.
