Sony Ericsson W850i: Music, Imaging, 3G and Beyond

The Sony Ericsson W850i marks the entry of Sony Ericsson in slider phone category. This member of the renowned Walkman family packs in enough fire power to take on any phones in its category head on. The Sony Ericsson W850i smoothly opens with its unique hidden slider mechanism without any fuss. Presently available in two colour solutions, the Sony Ericsson W850i adds 'bling' to the stylish handset design with its 24 carat gold Walkman logo. Front of the Sony Ericsson W850i is dominated by the 2 inch large TFT screen that displays more than 262 thousand different and accurate colours. The five way navigation pad is much more comfortable than a joystick. The automatic finish sliding action of the Sony Ericsson W850i reveals the tactile keypad which is largely error free.

The Sony Ericsson W850i is equipped with an upgraded Walkman media player v2.0 which a step ahead of the original Walkman player.

Other than the cosmetic change from iconic orange to black user interface, the upgraded Walkman player of the Sony Ericsson W850i features many useful and intuitive features. Other than regular Walkman features like Mega Bass, new features like Track ID and Album Art are introduced to enhance music experience with the Sony Ericsson W850i. The phone also features a melody composer - Music DJ and other evolved music features like built in speakers, graphic equalizer, play list support as well as Blue tooth stereo headphone support. Moreover, there is also a FM radio for you to tune into your favourite station.

The Sony Ericsson W850i boasts of two cameras - the primary camera module is 2.0 mega pixel with advanced imaging features like digital zoom and integrated flash. The secondary VGA camera is primarily used to make and receive video calls across UMTS networks. Other than 3G, this triband slider also includes other connectivity options like USB, Blue tooth, Infrared and Fast Port. The Sony Ericsson W850i manages to tick almost all modern day technology available in a mobile phone - be it for business or pleasure.
