By: Aseriah Jordan

When hunting for a job, there are important thingsyou must know that will help you.

1) Fire ... ready, aim. Do not start by sending out resumesbefore you have targeted you ideal job. Always think before sending outresumes.

2) It is important to never offend an interviewer, even if he/she areyounger than you. This means that you should never address the interviewer byhis or her first name, until they tell you that you can. For example, "You cancall me Jack," or the equivalent. Remember to address theinterviewer formally.

3) Keep your private life…well, private. Don't address anything personal ina resume or in an interview, unless told so. This helps in not prejudgingyou.

4) Winging it. "One of the biggest turn-offs for ahiring manager is when a candidate they are interviewing has not done theresearch necessary to understand both the position and the company they areapplying for," says Kip Hollister of Hollister Inc., a New Englandstaffing firm.

5) Dressing for success. Don't show up to an interview dressed up to sexy, casual, with too much jewelry, or cologne. Now what the position asks for anddress accordingly.
