Every security agency will be looking for the best candidates when it comes to the jobs that are dealing with the personal or group protection; this job means that there will be a person who protects his client from different risks of kidnapping, violence or other situations that are likely to be very harmful to the person or group. Therefore, the candidates for this job are carefully chosen by paying attention to all their existent skills together with the ones that can be developed during training sessions. When choosing to become a candidate for this job, you have to be aware that, as a bodyguard, you are likely to have famous clients such as music celebrities and politicians. But one should be aware that martial arts are not an essential feature; the agency will be looking for more skills that can be provided by every candidate.

Every candidate will have to be physically fit in order to apply for this job; good eyesight is also needed together with a nice and presentable appearance. These features may also convince the agency that you are the perfect one for this job. Having a driving license is actually essential in this case because the job involves constant movement in order to protect the future clients. Foreign languages may also be needed in case that the agency works with foreign clients too. Al the previous features are to be considered as a sort of general scheme that applies in the case of every candidate who is looking forward in order to become a bodyguard.

Training will be involved in case that the candidate has not been trained yet; knowledge tests together with practical skills assessments will have to be taken by every candidate in order to convince the agency oh his existing potential. If the candidate manages to pass all these tests, he will be hired by the agency. The candidate has to be aware that there are no set fees when it comes to this particular job. His entire income will be arranged by direct negotiation; the more skills and experience the candidate has, the more he is likely to earn.

The candidate has to be able to defend himself in order to defend other people too; he has to know how to protect and control other people in order to do his job in the proper manner without taking unnecessary risks. Interpersonal skills are also to be considered and the candidate has to be able to communicate with other people. He also has to be able to calm down these people in the case of an emergency situation. He must be keen on observing things in order to determine the possible risks that are implied by a certain situation or location.
