Registered Office and Business Impression

By: Darvy Kaitlin

Every businessman in the UK needs to maintain a registered office. It is an address where all the official mails are sent. No matter what is the size of a business, this office is a must if it is operated in the UK. Even, overseas entrepreneurs who have their establishments in the United Kingdom also should have an address used as registered office. Besides serving a legal purpose, it also gives their business an impressive image.

There are some dos and don'ts with regard to registered office. Company law in UK has laid some rules and regulations that every businessman is required to follow. For example, one cannot have this office anywhere he likes. There are some places that have legal validity for the purpose of registered office. One should run his office only in the authorised places.

In addition to this, there are some other rules imposed by company law in the UK in connection with registered offices. As per the law, the office should be registered with the Companies Office. All the mails from the government will be sent to this office. Businessmen also require displaying the name of the company in front of the office.

Another important rule associated with registered office is that all the products and stationeries of the company should have the address of the registered office printed on them. Finally, it is also a legal necessity to inform the concerned authority if the address of the office is ever changed.

Since there is restriction on the locations where a registered office can be run, it is not easy to find out an address in the desired place. However, getting an address in a strategically favourable place is helpful in creating a good impression on the customers. With the registered office in a posh location, one can easily attract the attention of highly potential customers.
