New Years Eve Party Safety Tips

Designated Drivers are your best friend for this night Don't leave home without them
The persentage of Drunk driving crashes increase. It takes about one hour to metabolized each drink so keep this in mind when you get to the party at 5 and when you plan on leaving.

Trust your instincts and know the warning signs of someone who is drunk even if it is you boyfriend. They say that if someone is drunk they will look intoxicated but that is not so the first thing that is affected is the judgment and the next is motor skills.

Not only are you worried about the people your with it is the other drivers that just think they can drive and if you have ever been around drunk people you know that they think they can drive after drinking at happy hour for the last 6 hours. Prevent this before it happens take the keys away.

Many people that have house partys take the keys from their guests. Don't worry if they get mad it is better then dead, or have to live with the fact that you killed someone.

Most important is that if you THINK and be aware it could really save your life.

Check with your local bars they now have safe rides home that they call a cab to get you home safe. It is paid for by the bar owners Think twice get your car tomorrow at least you will be around to get it.

If you plan on having a party it really is your responsibility to make sure your guest are getting home safe. (The law now lets you know loud and clear that if someone is drinking at your house you are to make sure they have a safe ride home.

Remember if you go to a house party and your kids are with you please have a PJ party and stay the night it is not worth it to drive home. The cops are all over the place for your safety.

Celebrating on New Year's Eve is about getting all dressed up and going to parties with friends.

Please remember that the safety of you and your loved ones is the most important thing to know. This is the start of a new year and lets work on this togeather to save not only you but someone elses mother, father, or child.

I know first had the damage a DWI can cause to a family. My Nephew was killed by a drunk driver she was a school teacher and had several DWI's After she hit Steven she kept going and when she slammed on the brakes he rolled off and she ran over him. It has changed our family forever. Don't make a mistake that could cost you a lifetime of regret.
