Pittsburgh is the second largest city in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. It is the county seat of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

Built on land between the confluence of the Allegheny, Ohio and Monongahela rivers and the surrounding hills, Pittsburgh features a skyline of 151 skyscrapers, 446 bridges, two inclines and a pre revolutionary fortification.

While many still perceive it as an industrial town, others claim it is a renewed and refreshed hip urban enclave. Take any marketing claims with as many grains of salt as you like, then learn about the real Pittsburgh a beautiful city with a stunning skyline, lots of walk able, neighbourhoods to live in, river trails, a lively downtown, and affordable housing.

Pittsburgh was fuelled by the manufacturing industry until the 1980s when the United States steel industry collapsed. The cities economy is now largely based on healthcare, education, technology and financial services. Robotics, in particular, is a major sector of the local economy.

Despite a declining population, Pittsburgh remains the principal cultural and economic influence in the eastern Ohio River Valley. This is due to its low cost of living, economic opportunities, education, transportation and medical infrastructures. It has been described by some as the Americas most lovable city.
