The Artistics Merits of Leeds

Although it is often overlooked in favour of Manchester, Leeds is a popular Northern city. it's got a population of almost 450,000 and attracts many business travellers, too.

Because of its many places of interest, Leeds is also a popular tourist location.

Leeds boasts a handful of pretty architecture, which include the gorgeous Corn Exchange that was designed by cuthbert brodrick in 1864. This gorgeous structure is now an alternative shopping mall and it's grade I listed.

In addition to its gorgeous buildings, Leeds also boasts a handful of gorgeous greenery and fantastic attractions and historical sites.

From the cutting-edge fashion found in the Victoria Quarter to the excellent designer shops of The Light and the independent boutiques of the arcades, Leeds gives visitors plenty of great shopping opportunities. Whether you are looking for a new outfit or even an out of this world birthday present, you are sure to find it in this lively city.

If you would rather spend your time in Leeds doing more artistic activities, you will be pleased to understand that the city has 9 exciting museums and art galleries. These include the royal armouries museum & the great henry moore institute, so you are sure to find something to entertain you.

If fast-paced city life gets too much, you will be pleased to understand that Leeds has some stunning green spaces & stunning parks, including the award winning nelson mandela gardens. These stunning gardens were built at a cost of ?12 million to celebrate the year 2000 & were jointly funded by leeds council & the Millennium Commission. The gardens won a prize at the 2004 Chelsea Flower Show.

Lastly, any tourist visiting Leeds should make sure that they enjoy its night life. With wonderful restaurants, exclusive bars and amazing night clubs, you'll have an out of this world evening there. it goes without saying that Leeds has a massive gay community, too. you will find a handful of fantastic gay bars sprinkled around the Calls area, which include the notorious blayde's.

After the clubs shut, why not head to one of the city's plush hotels for a fantasticrest? there's some great hotels in the city, which include quebecs, so you'll be spoilt for choice. the best thing is, if you choose a hotel with a free breakfast - you'll be able to eat away your hangover, too.

Whether you are travelling by car or public transport, you will locate getting to Leeds is easy. it is well served by Leeds Railway Station, also known as Leeds City, in addition to having frequent bus and coach services.
