Turkey: Galloping from far Asia to Europe

Turkey stretches from Asia to Mediterranean Sea. Surrounded by sea on three sides the land of this country lies both in Europe and Asia. European part is comparatively smaller than that in Asia. The European part is called as Thrace and Anatolia is the name of Asian part of turkey.With a population of 70 million, Turkey deserves to be one of the interesting tourist destinations in the world. 

Turkey's most important city Istanbul connects the Asian continent to Europe with impressive suspended bridges across the Bosphorus. Some sea side resorts like Alanya and Marmaris makes believe that Turkey is very  much oriented on the sea, though it is not so.

Anadolu, an Anatolian city truly represents the Turkish culture. The capital city Ankara is also located in Anatolia and offers some excellent sights and attractions. Museum of Anatolian Culture and the Mausoleum of Ataturk are most important of them.

The prime attraction of Turkey, Istanbul never sleeps. It is compared with New York that is busy 24 hours. You will enjoy visiting the beautiful mosques, Blue Mosque, and palaces Topkap1 and Dolmabahce in the city. Roman temples also attracts a heavy crowd of tourists. Because of all these features Istanbul is known to be the eternal city of Turkey. Shopping in the Kapali Carsi market is another fantastic experience.
