Sydney Celebrates Chinese New Year

Sydney will be holding its Chinese New Year Parade as a part of the city's Chinese New Year Celebration on February 10, 2008. This annual tradition is one of the most sought after events not just by the Chinese community but by the Sydneysiders as well.

Chinese New Year Parade 2008 in Sydney will commence on Park Street, Corner Pitt Street and will end with a concert in Tumbalong Park at Darling Harbour. Programme is at 11am to 1:30pm.

This year's event will be filled with fun and excitement as it promises participants, visitors and spectators bigger and brighter festivity where local and international musicians, acrobats, dragons and decorated floats will be featured. Also, part of the festival is the showcase of large-scale lanterns depicting the Chinese Zodiac.
