Aloha Hawaii-- Buying a Timeshare in Paradise

By: Joy Block

It has been said that the best Hawaii timeshares may be the best timeshares in America.

In an article called 'Hawaii Timeshares Make a Great Investment,' author Timothy Sexton says, 'Hawaii timeshares double the value of owning a timeshare there because, not only is it a cheaper way to visit, let's face it, the average joe simply can't even come close to affording Hawaiian properties outright.'

Timeshares in Hawaii have been leading a rebound in construction and a gentle rebound in tourism.

The Hawaii Tourism Authority has released a study which shows many existing hotel units has converted to timeshares and condominiums. Timeshare developments are attractive because, as Andrew Gomes of the Honolulua Advertiser says, 'you get large up-front returns generated by sales and the flexibility to use unsold units as hotel rentals.' Timeshare operators continue the trend of vacation-ownership. More giant hotel chains than ever before are building timeshares in Hawaii.

These are some of the timeshares available on Hawaii, island of O’ahu alone:

  • A Ritz Carlton hotel
Located at Ko Olina Resort & Marina About 200 rooms.
  • Marriott's Ko Olina Beach Club 90 rooms
    750-unit time-share project
  • Hilton Grand Vacations Waikiki
    time share 350 rooms.
  • Kalia Tower at Hilton Hawaiian Village 453 rooms
72 units on six floors of the 25-story tower has been converted to time-shares.
  • Outrigger's Waikiki Beach Walk, 890 rooms

In a Hawaii timeshare owner’s blog it’s noted that for a while now, 'timeshare industry professionals have been saying that Hawaii timeshares are growing in popularity... consequently, more timeshares will be available on the resale market.

'Visitors to Hawaii, who can’t afford to buy a vacation homeArticle Submission, have many options on the timeshare market. You can have your own bit of island paradise. Hawaii timeshares offer luxury accommodations for affordable prices.
