There will be eight flights per week on the Moscow- Ho Chi Minh City route, and five flights weekly between Germany and Vietnam from the current frequency of three to meet the demand of people living in Russia, Germany and neighboring European countries.
The carrier has implemented the schedule from December 25, 2006 to January 7, 2007.
The flight increase is primarily aimed at helping Vietnamese living and working abroad return home for the holiday
, the carrier said.
It also took into consideration the addition of flights between Vietnam and tourism sites on its global flights on the Tet holiday.
The carrier has added about 767 flights on international routes from February 1 to March 3 next year to meet passenger demands to travel home on Tet.
Vietnam Airlines also launched major fare discounts on some busy domestic routes on the country’s biggest event.
