Located in Maine’s Acadia region, Ellsworth possesses all the ingredients to keep the tourists happy within its boundary. Founded in 1800, this city serves as the commercial center. Acadia national park has immensely booted the growth of the town. Ellsworth history reveals the interesting incidents of the nomenclature of this city. It was previously known as Union Rivera which later on changed to Bowdoin and then to Ellsworth. Population of this city is 6456 according to the 2000 census. And it expands on an area of 60800 acres.

Primarily thrived by the lumber and boat building industry, the Ellsworth city is today a robust economy with the presence of many professional firms, shopping centers and various other modern amenities. All sort of sports activity take place here.
