Companies often move large groups of their employees to new towns and cities - sometimes even to new countries as well. This calls for the presence of a specialist to help these people migrate to their new location. Needless to say, this would encourage the employees to take up the new position with confidence and not worry too much about issues like housing, relocation and provide assistance with children's admission into new schools and such things.

If you are such a specialist in relocation, you could well approach some large companies for regular seasonal work. Of course, some of the top level executives would need to know why such a person is required in the first place. To this, you must answer that a happy employee is a hard worker, and when an employee sees that his company has taken the trouble to hire someone to assist his family in relocation, he will no doubt be encouraged to make the move and to remain with the company for a long long time.

You will see that you will save money in the long run, as old hands that work for you, remain working for you. It is well worth the fee that the relocation specialist may charge the company.

Of course, relocation is a strenuous experience even when you shift within the same town or city. Imagine the hardships your employee may face if you ask him to move to a new country. The least that a company can do when forcing some body to move to a new country with his family is to provide the support that the employee would require. It is an intelligent move, that will keep your employee happy and therefore to remain working for you. A hard worker is a happy worker, never forget that.

If you are sending an employee on a long term or permanent transfer, this is all the more reason to help him make the move. Of course, relocation assistance would not be necessary if the relocation was temporary, maybe for a few months or so. In such case, most companies prefer taking care of their employees by providing temporary residential space for them.
