o       Marang
A very picturesque fishing village, Marang welcomes her visitors with tall swaying coconut trees, coot fresh air, an incredibly beautiful lagoon and a fleet of fishing trawlers. Any visitor to Marang will be easily captivated by its natural beauty and simplistic ambience.

 

o       Chendering
Besides being considered as the centre for handicraft and traditional textiles in Terengganu, Chendering is also the site for a national deep sea fishing project. Located 6km south of Kuala Terengganu, Chendenng has a long jetty which makes it an excellent site for fishing.

 

o       Kijal
This is a small, quiet and quaint fishing village located north of the Kemaman town.

For those who want some peace and solitude, head out for Kijal where you can just laze around while watching fishing fleets return with the day’s catch, fishermen mending their nets or attending to their boats, or just let the cool and invigorating air caress you to a state of tranquility.

 

o       Kuala Besuit

Kuala Besut is a scenic fishing village which is also the jumping off point to Pulau Perhentian. It is about 2 hours by road from Kuala Terengganu.

 

o        Pantai Kemasik

This beach is known for its tranquility and scenery. During low tide, you can walk across the sandy river bed to a small rocky outcrop near the estuary and observe the lifestyle of quaint fishing villages along the river coastline.

 

o       Beaches In Dungun

Dungun is just as well-known for its beautiful beaches as its fishing villages. It is about an hour’s drive from Kuala Terengganu.

 

o       Pantai Penarik

This beach has a straight and sandy coastline that is ideal for sun-tanning and relaxation. Visitors can enjoy scores of daily activities at this traditional fishing village, like stopping for a fresh supply of sea catch or watching the fleet of fishing boats coming ashore.
