There are many nudist beach in Australia. The best being North Swanbourne Nudist Beach (Western Australia) while the oldest, most famous and busiest goes to Lady Jane beach (Aydney).

Australia's popular nudist beaches in all states

1) Western Australia
There are 3 nudist beach but this is the popular

  • North Swanbourne Beach (Western Australia)
    Arguably Australia's best and most popular nude beach. Make sure you are past an official 'clothing optional' sign before you strip off. 20mins out of Perth. 

2) South Australia

  • Maslin Beach (Adelaide)
    45km south of Adelaide. The 1.5km southern end of the beach permits full nudity. Maslin Beach, home to what was once called the Nude Olympics. 

3) Melbourne, Victoria
There are four official nude beaches in Melbourne. Most are not eaasily accessible and the most accessible nude beach in Melbourne is at Torquay

  • Point Impossible Beach
    Point Impossible Nudist Beach at Torquay. It is the best nude and most accessible nude beach in Victoria. Easy access by car, 1.7kms on a rough gravel road from the end of the bitumen on The Esplanade in Torquay. Or on foot, it's about a 2km beach walk from the town centre, to the start of the beach. A lovely sandy beach, great for swimming, has basic toilets at the car park. Point Impossible Beach is close to Southside Beach

  • Sunnyside North Beach
    First-timers, this is the place for you. Sunnyside Beach has a friendly social atmosphere with a mixed crowd of families, couples and people who come here alone to feel anonymous in their nudity amongst the crowd. The blue water rarely gets rough and the beach is secluded from the clothed side.
  • Campbell's Cove Beach
    While this is an official nudist beach, the place is quite deserted. Little sand here, no waves and often no people. Best to skip.

4) Sydney, New South Wales

  • Lady Bay Beach a.k.a Lady Jane beach
    Australia’s oldest, most famous nudist and naturally busiest nudist beach.  To reach Lady Bay, catch a 15-minute ferry from Circular Quayto Watson’s Bay. From Watson's Bay, turn left and head towards the entrance to Sydney Harbour. The first beach is family-friendly Camp Cove. Continue north up and you will reach Lady Bay Beach. The beach is only about 100m long, with calm waters and no surf. 
  • Samurai Beach
    The Samurai Beach is one of the biggest nude beaches around. It is a lovely secluded beach where clothing optional. Next to one mile beach. Nice unpatrolled ocean beach but only accessible with rugged 4 x 4WD or trek up a hilly and very deeply sandy track 700m long! 

5) Queensland
There are official no legal nude beaches in Queensland. These are the unofficialy accepted nude beaches that will not get you in trouble.

  • Cow Bay – Queensland
    A wide stretch of beach, scattered with an obstacle course of rocks at high tide. A showcase of Australia’s wild landscape surrounds you, complete with stinging jellyfish and lurking crocodiles, which keep away casual voyeurs, but seem to attract visitors from Europe. 
  • Alexandria Bay – Noosa, Queensland
    Alexandria Bay is accepted as an unofficial nude beach. You need to hike through the Noosa National Park to reach this beach. Making the beach a pristine strip of yellow sand and a secret from most tourists. Nudist here tend to be middle-aged and older. Do note that the waters are choppy and the beach is unpatrolled. There is no mobile phone reception at Alexandria Bay. 

6) Northern Territory 

  • Casuarina Beach, Darwin
    One of Darwin’s must-see attractions. Lovely secluded beach with white sands and crisp, clean waters. This beach is perhaps the wildest on the list - A croc spotted in Jan 2017. becareful when you are baring all your body here.

With thousands of miles of coastline, Australia is blessed with some of the worlds best beaches and naturally nude beaches.
