Bite Footwear to Get Crocs Croslite Technology

By: Orthoticshop

As you may be aware, Crocs has purchased Bite Footwear July 30, 2007. With Bite's move to their new location at Croc's headquarters in Niwot, Colorado almost complete, additional signs of the two companies collaborative efforts can be seen with some of the new products Bite is introducing.

Biteâ„? Footwear Introduces Crocs Crosliteâ„? Footbed in Product Line Up at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market

Bite, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Crocs, Inc. (NASDAQ: CROX), announced the use of Crocs' proprietary closed cell resin material, Crosliteâ„?, in the footbeds of select Biteâ„? Footwear products. These new products will be available to consumers in Spring 2008.

The Adventure 3-in-1 Series sandals (MSRP $79.99-$99.99) will be the first Biteâ„? Footwear products to feature Crocs' unique Crosliteâ„? material, which is known for its lightweight, anti-microbial, waterproof, and odor resistant properties. Available in two styles each for men and women, and perfect for the adventure traveler, this series transforms from a one piece sandal into three possible footwear options. One of the men's styles, the Chinook, features Bite's patent pending Adjustable Strapping System to individualize the fit to the foot. It can also be easily changed from an athletic light-hiker into an easy-on, easy-off slide, and further adjusts into a beach flip flop.

"We are excited to introduce Crocs' proprietary material, Croslite, into Bite Footwear products, further expanding the benefits of our material into new markets," said Ron Snyder, CEO of Crocs. "Crocs continues its commitment to provide comfortable, versatile and functional footwear to our broad range of consumers."

Biteâ„? Footwear is operated under Bite, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Crocs, Inc., and is a leader in comfortable and supportive performance shoe and sports sandals. Since its founding in 1996, Bite Footwear has introduced a number of revolutionary products including the first sports sandal with a removable insole, the first bio-mechanically correct footwear for fishing, and the first dedicated disc golf shoes. The company markets and sells its footwear worldwide in five categories including Golf, Adventure, Healthy Lifestyle and Water Sports.

Crocs, Inc. is a rapidly growing designer, manufacturer and retailer of footwear for men, women and children under the Crocsâ„? brand. All Crocsâ„? brand shoes feature Crocs' proprietary closed-cell resin, Crosliteâ„?, which represents a substantial innovation in footwear. The Crosliteâ„? material enables us to produce soft, comfortable, lightweight, superior-gripping, non-marking and odor-resistant shoes.
These unique elements make Crocsâ„? footwear ideal for casual wear, as well as for professional and recreational uses such as boating, hiking, hospitality and gardening. The versatile use of the material has enabled us to successfully market our products to a broad range of consumers.
