Walking Exercises to Get you in Shape

By: Beatrice Stephenson

Walking has become a popular form of exercise lately. And no wonder about that, walking exercise is an excellent way of getting in shape, whether it's for loosing weight, reduce cellulite, lowering cholesterol or your blood pressure. So, to advance your walking and fuel up the calorie burning, is there something that you can add? There are some things you can do. You can get equipment that doesn't cost a fortune, that you can use to increase the effectiveness of your fitness walks.

Nordic Walking

Heard about Nordic walking and walking poles? It's a form of walking that has it's origin from Scandinavia, but is spreading quickly around the world. You use walking poles during your walks (much like skiing poles, but with rubber ends to make it bounce off the ground better), and it increases the calorie burning with about 20%. A lot, in other words. You use your arms more effectively and your heart rate gets higher, that contributes to getting the energy up. Ordinary walking, with your arms just slightly swinging back and forth, doesn't do any good for your heart rate or strengthening your back and arm muscles. To do that, you need to keep your arm in a 90 degree angle, and the poles will help you with that. Pushing away with the poles will further strengthen your arms.

MBT Shoes Or Cellulite Shoes

The Mbt shoes where invented to cure back pain and improve posture. Studies started to show that they did a lot more than that; they strengthened your stomach, thighs, and buttock muscles, toned legs and helped neck pain. Also with this product the muscle activity increases with several percents. They have become a popular training gear to many, not least the Hollywood celebs, that swear by them.
