So there you are, ready and motivated to burn fat and lose weight. If that is the case, then reading this article will point out one of the most important things you must remember in order to get to the figure and size you desire.

Here is the answer so many people who try to lose weight are asking. "How many meals a day should I miss out on?" The answer is a simple "NONE!" Apart from the fact you should not sit around after eating, or set totally stupid goals, missing meals is the worst thing you can do when on a diet.

If you have tried some of these fad diets where you go days without eating, you will already know that firstly they do not work, and secondly, within a week or two you will probably be eating more and putting tons of weight back on. Unfortunately, many obese people try these diets to lose weight fast in the hoe it will solve their problem. Truth is, it will make it worse and cause more problems to their health in the long run.

The food you eat is the fuel your body needs to survive and to function correctly. If you don't give it any food, all your internal organs will not do what they are supposed to do. They begin to turn against you and eventually go on strike! What do you think would happen if you did not put any gas in your car? Well, the same thing applies to your body.

Once you begin to starve yourself, here is what your body will do. Firstly, it will try to survive and go into "starvation mode". What happens then is instead of burning fat and turning it into energy, it actually begins to save fat or store it. You end up with more weight and absolutely no energy whatsoever. If you starve yourself, your internal organs will fight to stay alive. It is totally natural and they will then act upon what they think is starvation and a threat to their existence.

If you are overweight now, your body has become used to that amount of food you eat each day. If you suddenly stop feeding it, it is common sense to realize that your body will wonder what is going on and take action to ensure you survive. Eating less will of course, but one of the best ways to burn more fat and lose weight fast is to eat more often. Four to five times a day works best. Eat smaller portions and your body will eventually get used to it. You will not suffer hunger pangs as your body should easily go four to five hours without feeling hungry.

Whatever you do, do not miss out on any meals, in fact eat more meals than you do right now but simply eat less.
