How Fat Loss for Idiots Works

If you've been browing the internet trying to find information on losing weight or cutting down your body fat you have most likely run across a diet called Fat Loss for Idiots. Currently it is one of the most popular online diets and it is being talked about quite a bit.

This diet, also often referred to as Weight Loss for Idiots or the Idiot Proof Diet, does not rely on low fat, low carb or starvation techniques to help you lose weight like most traditional diets. Instead, it uses something called the "shifting calories theory." Although shifting calories is the primary reason that Fat Loss for Idiots works, there are also several other advantages to it over other types of diets. Let's take a quick look at those.

One of the hardest parts about being on a diet is that they leave you feeling deprived and just plain hungry. When you feel deprived it is much easier to binge or completely blow the diet. In fact, that is one of the main reasons that diets fail - people just don't stick with them because they are feeling too hungry.

Low fat and low carb diets are really restrictive on the types of foods you can eat and often times don't give your body the nutrition that it needs. In fact, I know of one low carb diet that in the early stages won't even let you eat an apple because it has too many carbs - yikes! Starvation diets don't provide your body with enough calories to burn for energy and you wind up feeling, well, starved. Being hungry and not getting adequate nutrition both can lead to binging.

With Fat Loss for Idiots on the other hand, you eat more than 3 times a day so you don't have time to really feel hungry between meals. It also allows you eat the foods you enjoy (hot dogs, hamburgers or pizza, anyone?) so that you don't feel deprived. Because of this it is much easier to stick with than most diets.

The diet also runs in 14 day cycles - 11 days of dieting with 3 "cheat" day between each cycle where you can eat what you want. This makes it easier to stick with for longer periods of time if you have a lot of weight to lose. You aren't dieting indefinitely, but instead it is broken down into easy to manage periods of time.
