Frost & Sullivan Hands Out Advertising Award

The Internet is fast becoming a favorite for companies in advertising their products. In the auto industry, automakers are focusing on expanding their buyer base composed of young car buyers. Thus, online advertising is seen as a way to connect with the new generation of car buyers. Recently, carsales.com.au received the 2007 Frost & Sullivan Advertiser Satisfaction Award for Online Classifieds Advertising.

Frost & Sullivan handed out the award after conducting a survey on online classifieds. The said survey took into account different areas of advertising over the World Wide Web like the intention of the advertiser, their attitude and the current trend in online advertising. According to statistics, advertising over the Internet has increased in Australia from 2005 to 2006. The Auto Channel reported that AU$205 million more has been poured into online advertising in Australia in 2006 compared to 2005.

Darryl Nelson, the research manager for digital media at Frost & Sullivan Australia, said: "The performance of carsales.com.au in delivering high advertiser satisfaction underwrites its strong market leadership in the online automotive classifieds market. Carsales.com.au has clearly demonstrated a strong focus in creating a valuable advertising market and also on delivering a high level of service to its advertising customers."

As can be expected, carsales.com.au is proud of the award given to the firm. Frost & Sullivan conducted the survey involving 120 business advertisers. These came from three markets which are recruitment, real estate and automotive. The ratings on each factor of the advertisers are adjusted to see how they are performing in relation to their field.
