Intellichoice.com and Autopacifics 2007 Motorist Choice Awards

Intellichoice.com, together with AutoPacific has released the 2007 Motorist Choice Awards last week with Toyota Motor Corporation and General Motor Corporation topping the list. Toyota Motor Corporation's car models gets eight different categories on the list while General Motors wins five different segments.

Lexus LS was the overall winner, together with other Toyota cars on the 25 different vehicles segments. The Toyota cars that shared the fame with the Lexus LS were the 4Runner, Avalon, FJ Cruiser, Lexus IS and SC, Scion tC and Tacoma.

General Motors also won five of the 25 different segments as well. Part of those which was included on the five segments were Chevrolet Silverado 1500 which was awarded with the light-duty and heavy-duty pickup categories, the GMC Yukon XL which topped the SUVs and crossovers segments and the Chevrolet's HHR winning the best among the compact crossover SUVs. The award on best large luxury cars was given to GMC's Cadillac DTS. Although Saab is also qualified for the some segments, it didn't manage to win any of the sections but still continues to make quality for their car models line-up.

Other winners on the list were Mazda Mazda3 Sedan winning the best compact car segment, Honda Fit as the Economy Car and the German Volkswagen GTI handling the Image Compact Car award. The Luxury Crossover SUV goes to Acura MDX while the Luxury Midsize Car award was given to Nissan Maxima. Other car winning the luxury vehicle categories were Land Rover Range Rover Sport for the Luxury Sport Utility and Lexus SC for the Premium Luxury Car.

Volkswagen Jetta got the Midsize Car award. Midsize Crossover SUV award was given to Honda CR-V and the Minivan award was also given to Honda Odyssey.

On the Midsize Cars category, Nissan Altima was able to get the Premium Midsize Car award while Nissan Murano managed to get the Premium Midsize Crossover SUV. Lexus SC also gets the Premium Sports Car, Porsche Boxster holds the Sports Car award and lastly the Scion tC grasps the Sporty Car award.

The president of AutoPacific George Peterson said, "Those who monitor the industry closely are probably not surprised by the performance of the Cadillac DTS." He also said, "Across all segments, the DTS came in a close second to the overall winner Lexus LS, and it was the top ranked vehicle overall in AutoPacific's recently announced Vehicle Satisfaction Awards. It's a car that can definitely challenge the other elite brands," as released by the autospies.com.

The officers who released this list said all the vehicles included on the Motorist Choice Awards were able to receive the highest customer satisfaction but found to have to lowest cost of ownership.
